Introducing FW24: Crozon Finistère ⚜️🇫🇷

“Crozon Finistère,” TiA CiBANi’s newest Fall Winter collection, is inspired by the picturesque town of Morgat in Brittany, northwest France. This collection brings to life the rich history and cultural heritage of a place characterized by its medieval and 17th-century fortified towers along the Route des Fortifications: Crozon Finistère.

Imagine a region steeped in tradition, where the sounds of hundreds of bagpipes fill the air during annual festivals, and children parade in traditional dress, enjoying the local food and drink. Brittany, as one of the six Celtic nations, deeply honors its heritage, and this celebration of culture has influenced Tia’s creative vision.

The festive ceremonial costumes of the region establish a color palette that is rich and deep, featuring shades of Rouge red, Dijon yellow, Chervil green, and Celtic teal. Handsome Breton blue and Prune purple provide grounding hues, while highlights of Pepon orange, Fenouil herb green, and Kohl black punctuate the collection with ribbon trims, playful snap buttons, and romantic lace details. The charming Tudor-style houses inspire this season’s signature print, with steeply pitched roofs and colorful geometric patterns applied onto the softest fine cotton velvet.

Velvet is a key texture throughout the collection, ranging from Breton Tarp Velvet to Chamois Cotton Twill and Liquid Canvas with a sueded touch. Silhouettes are romantic, with lace trims abundantly applied in stripes running in various directions. Lace adorns necklines, sleeve cuffs, and runs diagonally along skirts and dresses, complemented by ruffles that are tucked under and over the lace, and highlighted with streaming ribbons, cementing the romantic message sewn throughout the collection. Hearty Tarp Velvet military jackets are patchworked with Mariniere Striped Shirting, creating whimsical yet smart masculine looks.

Gael Embroidered Lace is both architectural and poetic. Rendered in feminine styles that highlight its sweet, scalloped edges, it becomes the couture expression for the most special occasions. Tulle is pleated, smocked, and further embellished with pearls along necklines and sleeve cuffs, offering a less strict alternative for occasion styles.

Embroidery acts as a family crest, distinguishing each territory from its neighbor. Tia experiments with this tradition, rendering it contemporary by applying embroidery onto boys’ chambray shirts and unisex felted wool Celtic Shadow Plaid pea coats.

Fair Isle handknits of pullovers, cardigans, vests, and beanies are hearty and colorful. By patchworking varying zigzags and fleurettes, Tia reimagines a timeless classic anew.

Accessories tell a romantic tale with abundant chenille and pearl-embellished headbands and brooches. Headpieces of pleated lace trim stacked high resemble a crown of nobility. Woolen brooches are charming with pearl embellishments, and a signature scarf with a Tudor house silhouette makes for a beautifully draped shawl.

With FW24, you are invited to join Tia and her family on their next storybook holiday to Morgat, experiencing the rich and enchanting world of Crozon Finistère.
